Hi folks! I’m looking to team up with good web designers. If you happen to know someone in the Seattle area, who is a freelancer, and likes working on projects related to start ups, non-profits, and small businesses feel free to forward them to me. I am more interested in supporting professional women groups, like mom-preneurs, techie moms, part time artistic jobs for woman, and professional artist women with disabilities. But students in the graphic design industry are welcomed to contact me as well.
You may be wondering why there are so many social media sites and especially which one serves you best. Many small business owners complain about not having time to spend creating and updating their accounts on these social media sites, however, if you want your business to be in the forefront, there is no way to achieve this without exposing it to a bigger target market. And these social media sites help you with that.
Facebook and LinkedIn platforms are just a few examples of the many social media websites out there and they all serve different purposes. Keep your mind open to become familiar with their differences and learn to take advantage of each. But the question still remain, why should you care? (more…)
Village Volunteers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works towards supporting the development of sustainable solutions for community survival, education, and growth in places like Kenya, Ghana, Nepal and India. Their Executive Director was interested on getting their website updated as well as implementing new tools and capabilities to support and help new visitors and potential volunteers find the right information.
My main work was ‘tweaking’ their actual WordPress theme and adding new content as well editing menus, headers, and incorporating compatible plugins. Social media communication is a really important part of any business today and for a non-profit organization like VV, we help them expose their social media icons and apps a lot better. More
We all want to feel real appreciation on everything we do. We desire more time to spend with family or see our babies crawl and laugh more often. we are living in a state where we have woken up things that now is the time to become a professional independent, being said, our own boss. We even dreamed about that bunch of ideas we want to put into place that will give us that confidence to become an entrepreneur. But then something comes up, and we begin to doubt our skills and our ability to pull off this amazing dream. Previous failed attempts emerge as well as a sense of guilt about leaving your current job and you question whether it’s worth trying. Isn’t there freedom in keeping my actual job? Would my entrepreneurship dream be brought to life? – Is there true freedom on becoming my own boss? More

There are several reasons for this break – and for a bunch of papers piled up in my room still waiting for me to review them – that I will not bore you with them. The good news is that this hiatus has provided me the opportunity to put my hands and challenge my mind with thoughts in the area of small businesses and start-ups, that sometimes I feel about to explode trying to generate more productive ideas, and come up with effective tasks that will balance my performance on the different projects I’m right now. Nowdays, it is nearly imperative to have a website for every endeavor we get our hands into that it comes the time when you sit down and start to ponder how much would you’ve saved if most of your websites works were done by yourself. More
I know some friends that for every idea they have they plan to build a website with the dream that one day they will start monetizing on it after it reaches a certain scale. The idea is not wrong at all – this is pretty realistic, we all dream about having all our ideas productive at some point in live – but More
